About Ryukyu Glass
Ryukyu glass originated in Okinawa after World War II, when local artisans began recycling empty glass bottles from American military bases. Over time, it evolved into a distinctive craft known for vibrant colors, thick walls, and hand-formed shapes. The inclusion of bubbles is intentional, adding to its unique texture and light refraction.
